Are you using a safe CBD oil?
CBD oil is becoming one of the hottest new products on the market today. In fact, annual sales of CBD oil products were nearly $600 million in 2018 and are estimated to be growing at over 107 percent CAGR. Before 2017, CBD products were only available in head shops, cbd produkte health food stores, and a few doctor’s offices. Since then, the market has exploded and CBD products are now available in health food stores, national grocery stores, beauty salons, nail salons, convenience stores, and even gas stations. But are these CBD products made from safe CBD oil?
First, let’s examine what we mean by safe CBD oil. Some reports indicate that up to 40% of CBD products on the market have tested positive for heavy metals like lead and arsenic, concentrated chemical pesticides, bacteria, fungi, toxic mold, THC, and numerous other dangerous contaminants. Most people would agree that products containing these contaminants would be considered unsafe.
Most of these unsafe CBD oil products are grown and manufactured in China, Mexico, and numerous third world countries that put little or no oversight on the products they sell.
One of the most common and dangerous contaminants commonly found in spoiled CBD products is chemical pesticides. These chemicals are used to kill insects and other organisms that can be harmful to the plant. According to the Toxics Action Center, “Pesticides have been linked to a wide range of human health hazards, ranging from short-term effects such as headaches and nausea to more serious health problems such as cancer, reproductive harm and endocrine disruption.” It can be very dangerous, ingesting any type of tainted CBD product if it is contaminated with pesticides.
The best and safest products available are those where the hemp is grown in the United States and the oil is manufactured in a food-grade facility. And of course, it needs to be tested by a reliable third-party facility. If you are looking for a safe CBD oil product with consistently high quality and CBD content, look for US suppliers that only use US-grown hemp. Also, look for suppliers whose products are thoroughly tested for purity, quality, and cleanliness. And as an added measure of safety and quality, many of these manufacturers are regulated by government agencies.
As an example of this type of government oversight, Colorado-based CBD manufacturers are required to register with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Then they have to meet several requirements, such as: B. Proof that the industrial hemp produced at this facility contains no more than three-tenths of 1 percent THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana that gets you high.
When you shop from suppliers in Colorado, or when your cbd produkte supplier uses other third-party organizations that certify that you are purchasing safe products, you can be assured that CBD products like bath bombs, CBD drops, gummies, gelcaps, soothing creams, ointments, and more are safe to consume and use.
